My sister Kristin was married on March 6th, and I was lucky enough to be involved in the proceedings. She asked me to play prior to ceremony itself, while people were walking in and being seated. Since I had never played for such a large number of people - 185 - I was a little nervous about having a minor freak-out just prior and leaving her in a lurch. In case of such an eventuality, I recorded the pieces ahead of time and put them on my iPod.
The freak-out didn't happen and I successfully played everything prior to the ceremony. But I have the recordings, so I thought to post them. Of course, there are minor mistakes here and there, but on the whole they're decent. Enjoy..

Germany Performance Video
View via YouTube here.
As most anyone reading this knows, I spent 2 weeks this summer at a music festival near Hinterzarten, Germany. I played twice in the end-of-festival concert - a solo performance, and a chamber piece with a cellist. This is a video of my solo performance. I play 5 pieces, 4 of which are already posted on this blog.
"Prelude" by Ravel
"Novelette" by Kabalevsky
"To a Wild Rose", "From an Old Trystin' Place" and "From an Indian Lodge" by MacDowell.
Watching this 5 months later, I realized that I played these pieces faster than I intended (esp with the Indian Lodge). But I thought the performance was largely a success.
